Call for Global Bridge Builders

Building bridges across tech for EVERYONE to thrive in Tech with H.E.R.

< humanity, empathy and responsibility >

Ambassador HQ is the 1st global headquarters where any Techmaker program leads, ambassadors, and their communities unite to connect, share, and build bridges across the tech industry for generations to come.

"Our Rights. Our Promise."

Ambassador HQ exists because a movement this important needs a home that belongs to its people.

It began with a spark at Google I/O in 2012, when technologists from around the world discovered what happens when women and underrepresented makers find each other: careers change, communities form, and doors open. That spark grew into a global network of Techmaker Ambassadors, strengthened by more than a decade of support from corporate partners and tech affiliates.

But a community this vital shouldn't depend on any single company. Ambassador HQ is our answer — a continuous, community-owned space where every Techmaker can connect peer-to-peer, across every program, employer, and affiliation, freely and on our own terms.

That shared spirit has a name: #RealRaise. It's the movement that aligns us all with one mission — across every Techmaker and community-builder program globally. #RealRaise stands for our right and freedom to connect, share, collaborate, and support each other, and for building bridges that will carry generations to come.

Our promise to each other is written down. The TechMaker Bill of Rights — our Bridge Builders' declaration — affirms what we will always protect: our right to own our connections, to build as peers, to gather freely across every boundary, and to pass what we build to the generations who come after. It's not a policy. It's a promise, signed by all of us.

Today we carry the torch through monthly events in communities around the world and our annual Bridge Builder Summit, built together with the affiliate programs our members choose for themselves. Every gathering builds another bridge — between people, between programs, and toward the generations who will inherit this work.

To our fellow Techmakers everywhere: thank you. Your dedication keeps this space open, inclusive, and independent — so the mission of equity in tech belongs to all of us, together with H.E.R.

Our Bridge Builder Pledge

The Declaration of TechMaker Rights

We, the TechMakers, declare our collective right to own our connections, our networks, and our power to build together.

As technologists, community builders, and champions of inclusion, we refuse to be mere consumers of systems designed without us. We are the architects. We are the bridge builders. We are the keepers of networks that must remain accessible for future generations.

I. The Right to Own Our Social Capital

We declare that the relationships we cultivate, the communities we nurture, and the networks we build belong to us—not to platforms, not to corporations, not to algorithms. Our connections are our inheritance to pass forward, and no system shall have the power to erase, monetize, or gatekeep what we have built together.

II. The Right to Build as Peers

We reject hierarchies that diminish our expertise. Every TechMaker Ambassador is a leader. Every voice carries weight. We have the right to co-create, co-learn, and co-own the tools and spaces where we gather. Peer support is not charity—it is our superpower.

III. The Right to Amplify Without Extraction

When we share our stories, skills, and wins, we do so to uplift—not to be harvested. We demand systems that honor attribution, that celebrate collective success, and that ensure the value we create flows back to our communities, not away from them.

IV. The Right to Inclusive Innovation

We, the technologists building the future, commit to creating with intention. The systems we design shall be vetted for bias, built for accessibility, and evaluated for the communities they serve. We refuse to replicate the exclusions of the past in the code of tomorrow.

V. The Right to Gather Freely

Across programs, corporations, and affiliations, we claim the right to unite. No organizational boundary shall prevent TMs from supporting one another. Our cooperative spirit transcends any single platform or partner—it belongs to us.

VI. The Right to Generational Continuity

What we build today must remain accessible for those who come after. We demand that our shared resources, our collective knowledge, and our community-owned spaces be preserved and passed forward. The torch we carry is not ours to extinguish—it is ours to protect.

VII. The Right to Define Our Own Value

We are more than metrics. More than engagement numbers. More than data points in someone else's growth strategy. We are human beings with inherent value, building a world where all excel in tech together.

We, the TechMakers, sign this declaration as Bridge Builders—united in our commitment to own our connections, amplify our collective voices, and ensure that the networks we create today will empower generations to come.

This is our promise. This is our power. This is what we do together.
